JIM BARRY FIRST XI CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2006
Rich and juicy with cassis, plum and red berries, a distinct but very attractive waft of eucalypt leaf and good toasty cedar oak. On the palate full bodied, but not heavy, with a fresh almost airy feeling and this coupled with delicious juicy flavours of red berry, cassis, chocolate and mint make this a most appealing and tasty wine. It has light fine tannins and just a little warmth from alcohol but nothing disruptive – it has fine balance. Very long finish with lingering flavours of mint chocolate and red fruits. A really enjoyable and very high quality wine.
