YARRA YERING DRY RED No 2 2012
JAMES HALLIDAY 98 POINTS!
"Shiraz, with a small percentage of mataro, was co-fermented with viognier and marsanne. While the colour is not particularly deep, the fragrance of the wine is exceptional, the intensity of the juicy spray of red fruits on the vibrant palate even more so. This is an iron fist in a velvet glove, the flavours lingering long after the wine has been swallowed. The inheritance of the late Bailey Carrodus is being carefully guarded"James Halliday Wine Companion, July 2014
GARY WALSH 95 POINTS!
"Meat, capsicum, pepper and black fruit, then stone fruit and flowers. Medium bodied with dark chocolate and stewed flavours, but also the brightness of clean perfectly integrated acidity and layers of detail. Slick glossy texture with buried tannin " deceptive and quite beautiful " and an almost breath freshening cool finish of super length. Quirky. Great to drink. One of a kind."The Wine Front, 2014
